Post Graduate and Higher Studies In Bangladesh

In most of the cases after completing the Bachelor degree or maximum completing the Masters degree those who want to continue higher study fly for other developed countries who are giving them opportunity to study further. When these students willing to go for higher studies fly for abroad,in most of the cases they do not come back.Cause they get better opportunity over there. They also apply for permanent resident ship as life style is much more higher in those countries.
But it is a matter of great regret that the students who are not coming back are the students of any one of the public universities in the country.Though students also from private universities are also going for Phd or higher studies these days, but the number is huge from public university.
So,the matter is that the government is spending a money after a student who is not going to serve the nation. So,here the nation is the great looser. But this is not the fault of that student who is leaving the country. This is the fault of the educational system.
If the government is giving more opportunities upto masters level there must be some good opportunities in the Phd level. The laboratories of the universities should be that much rich to continue the higher studies. At least a good number of funding should be given to the proper deserving students.
The scope for Phd should be increased. If it is done so then less number of people will go abroad and settle over there.Which will be a good news for the country.

ONE-SHOULDER WONDER FASHION IN THIS PUJA 2011

ONE-SHOULDER WONDER FASHION IN THIS PUJA 2011

Anyone who is someone in the Hollywood or Bollywood circuit is sporting a one-shoulder dress. And if you too are smitten by this trend, here’s what you need to keep in mind while replicating your favourite fashion icon’s look

Nikhila Pant

One-shoulder dresses which are immensely popular with international celebrities such as reality show star Kim Kardashian, model Heidi Klum and actor Charlize Theron have successfully made their way into Indian fashion circles. Taking their cue from international fashionistas, Bollywood actors like Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Rani Mukerji have been spotted sporting this trend at events.
However, it’s “Dabangg” girl Sonakshi Sinha who takes the cake. This hottie has taken a great liking to this trend. Be it a promotional event, a book signing or a professional photo-op, the actor is almost always seen in a bright asymmetrical one-shoulder dress. For those who want to stand out in the one-shoulder wonder, here’s a lowdown...
STYLE WATCH
Watch your favourite fashion icon closely to take tips. Internationally, this style has been popularized by Kim Kardashian, whose wardrobe seems to be full of one-shoulder dresses and tops of various colours. While Kim and supermodel Heidi Klum add that extra dash of glamour with chunky bracelets and huge earrings, actors Mischa Barton and Charlize Theron stick to minimalist fashion by not adding any accessories to their attire. It is advisable to keep the occasion in mind when opting for this dress. A glittery one-shoulder piece will look best for an evening do, while for the afternoon or morning look, try a light hued one-shoulder top.

FOR ALL BODY TYPES

The best part about a one-shoulder dress is that it suits all body types. Since it draws attention away from the lower body to the neck and shoulder area, this style can be sported by people who have heavier bottoms like Kim Kardashian. So, it is the safest bet for those with apple-shaped bodies — with a large bust, broad shoulders and narrow hips.

HIDE ’N’ SEEK

For those of you who are skinny, choose a form-fitting elastic single strap dress. Team it with a pair of stilettos and you will be the babe of the evening. If you are battling
the bulge, choose a one-shoulder side drape dress. A side drape creates an illusion that takes the eyes off your belly. This will instantly define your waist line and take the attention away from all the problem areas. And if you’re worried about being petite, then choose a one-shoulder dress with a high waist band which will highlight your legs.
ACCESSORIZE IT RIGHT

Choosing the accessories to go with one-shoulder dresses is as simple as it gets. All you’ve got to do is pick that one piece of jewellery — either a pair of earrings or a chunky bracelet

or a huge ring — that will highlight the glam quotient. You can also choose a choker for a classic look, complete with a 60s hairstyle. All you need to add is one pretty looking clutch and a pair of nude stilettos.

INNER ESSENTIALS

Bra straps are a complete turn off, so it is best to avoid a bra with straps, no matter how funky or transparent the straps are. An extra strap will kill the idea of a one-shoulder dress. also, always try the dress on before buying it to make sure that it suits your bustline. If you are a little more adventurous, then you can also go for the paste on bras. However, it is best to stick with strapless bras.

HAIR’S THE SOLUTION

A disastrous hairstyle can break any look. If you wish to wear your hair down, sweep your mane over the shoulder with the strap. You can also pull back your hair for a more sleek and sophisticated look.

So, you have made several shopping trips already, bought new clothes for the four-days of festivity and are all set to make others go green with your get up during the pujas. But wouldn’t it be great if you could add that special touch in your beauty to accentuate your look further? Keeping this thought in mind, Somi’s Glowz Spa has launched a spa in New Alipore recently. Adding her own radiance to the occasion was actor Ameesha Patel who was present at the launch of the salon.
Besides pampering your skin with the latest trends in beauty and rejuvenation like rubber facials, deep tissue massages and Vichy showers, among others, there are also exclusive romantic packages for partners in the spa. Also, futuristic therapies with the help of machines imported from Hong Kong will greet people in a few weeks without burning a hole in your pocket. A household name in Kolkata because of her wide range of ayurvedic products, Somi Gupta, the director of the spa, believes that the USP of her products is that they can work wonders for skin and hair without damaging them with harmful chemicals. In fact, she is known to use natural products in her therapies.
Significantly, Somi Gupta, the director of the spa, was awarded the Asia Pacific Excellence Award, 2011, for her outstanding individual achievements by the Honorable Deputy Prime Minister and Minister

for Finance, Govt of Nepal, Bharat Mohan Adhikari earlier this year. Gupta says, “Quality tells and quality sells is our motto and ‘Simply beyond’ is what we strive for in every aspect of our guests’ spa experience. This gives us the opportunity give consumers access to our huge range of products and services.”

The trend of the moment is undoubtedly brightly coloured skinny jeans. While Indigo is classic, but consider pink, electric blue, yellow and red. Significantly, deep pigmented colours are very hip right now. We tell you the correct ways to sport this hot trend. Coloured jeans have to be skinny, never flared, unless you are going for a retro look. Keep the shirt loose and in shades of white or grey.
Coloured skinnies lend to an androgynous look, so wear them with loafers, oxfords or flat thong sandals.
While colour blocking, don’t move away from the colour family, and restrict the shades to three or less. For instance, deep green jeans can be worn with a blue and white striped shirt. Don’t mix blue, red and yellow.
If you want a softer look, go pastel pinks, lavender, etc. The same rules apply for the shirt — neutral and flowy.
Don’t over-accessorize. Wear only one statement piece.

Aglittering display of Rajasthan’s trademark Kundan-Meena jewellery attracted wedding shoppers to the Jaipur Jewellery Show, presented by fashion boutique Prana, at Fortune Select Loudon’s Emerald Banquets on Thursday.
Actress Rituparna Sengupta, who was the chief guest, checked out the stalls and even tried on a few eye-catching pieces. The exhibition, on till August 27 (11am to 7.30pm), has brought five of Jaipur’s oldest and best-known jewellery houses — Rawat Jewels, Rambhajo’s, Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers, Ghatiwala Jewellers and P.C Totuka & Sons — to showcase their Mughal art jewellery.
Decking the shelves are traditional heavy jadau sets with lines of uncut diamonds, Navratan jewellery, intricate meenakari statement necklaces and bangles, elegant Burmese ruby, emerald and sapphire cuffs, pearl and diamond bajubandhs, a variety of enamelled polki sets and precious stone-studded cocktail rings.
“People here like wearing big bright stones and traditional chunky jewellery, so these are the designs that we have brought to the city,” said Gautam Totuka of P.C Totuka & Sons.
Labels like Rambhajo’s, Rawat Jewels and Birdhichand also have a collection of more contemporary offbeat designs like rose-cut coral neckpieces, stone-studded reversible danglers, beaded strings with diamond pendants, uncut emerald stone chokers, chiselled gold bracelets and turquoise drop earrings. “Uncut stone neckpieces in single or multiple strings are a big trend nowadays with the younger generation. They like unstructured abstract jewellery that can be teamed with ethnic or western wear,” said Vipul Gilara of Rambhajo’s.
“Through this exhibition we want to promote kundan and meena jewellery, which is traditional Mughal art jewellery worn by the royals of Rajasthan,” signed off Naval Agarwal, convener, Kundan Meena Promotion.

From ethnic to sexy & classic Tracing the evolution of fashionable blouses

Source : The Times of India, Kolkata.
Remember the days when a blouse meant going to the nearest ‘matching centre’ to pick up cotton yardage to go with that new sari. Not any more. From being a mere supplement, blouses have gone glam with a vengeance with long sleeves, low backs, plunging necklines, bows, strings, tassels and whatever else have you.

Remniscient of the highfashion era of Sharmila Tagore and Hema Malini in the 1960s, trendy cholis in brocade, net and velvet are once again adding a much needed dose of glamour to a woman’s wardrobe.
Muzaffar Ali, known for his ethnic collections, said, “The new trend is long sleeves with a vintage or Victorian crossover look. Also, embroidered corset blouses can add volume to the wardrobe. Blouses in fabrics like net, velvet and crepe playing with trans
parency on bright colours are perfect for the Indian skin tone.”
From designer studios to the silver screen, the new trends are fast catching up. Priyanka Chopra was seen in a long sleeved blouse in “7 Khoon Maaf”, while Deepika Padukone sported deep cut blouses with strings at the back in “Aarakshan”.

Predicting more interesting traditional trends, ace designer JJ Valaya said, “For me, clean empire cuts, and keyhole necklines with deep backs can accentuate one’s looks,” he said.
Also, strapless blouses knotted at the back along with one shoulder beaded cholis are some of the most in-vogue styles.
“Blouses play a very important role, whether you want to look sexy, hot or classical. Now, women concentrate more on choosing the perfect blouse for the occasion than they do on the sari,” claims designer Abdul Halder.
